This Privacy Policy explains how Simplement (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use our website. We aim to keep this short and honest. If anything is unclear, contact us at simplement.admin@gmail.com.

Simplement is operated by Fredrik Ulriksson, an individual based in Sweden, who is the data controller. For privacy or data-protection questions, contact us at the email above.

1. The data we collect

Quiz answers (stored on your device)

When you take the quiz we collect your answers — including health-related information such as age, sex, diet, reported discomforts, whether you take medication, training frequency and budget. These answers are stored only in your browser (local storage) on your own device. They are used to generate your recommendations and are not sent to our servers.

Email & name (if you provide them)

To view your plan you provide an email address (and optionally your name). If a mailing provider is configured, your email and name are sent to that provider so we can show your plan and, only if you tick the marketing box, send you occasional emails. We do not use a password and do not store your quiz health answers on our servers.

Analytics data (only with your consent)

If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — for example pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location (from a truncated IP), and events such as starting the quiz or clicking a “Shop” affiliate link. IP addresses are anonymised. See our Cookie Policy. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected.

2. Why we use it, and our legal bases (GDPR)

• To generate and show your plan — performance of the service you requested, and our legitimate interest in operating the site.
• Analytics — your consent (given via the cookie banner; withdrawable any time).
• Marketing emails — your consent (the opt-in checkbox; unsubscribe any time).

Because some quiz answers relate to health, we treat them as sensitive and keep them on your device rather than our servers. We only ask for what is needed to suggest supplements.

3. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with service providers acting on our behalf, and with the retailers you choose to visit:

• Google (Analytics) — analytics, only if you consent.
• Brevo (our email provider) — to store your email and send any emails you opted into.
• Affiliate retailers (e.g. Amazon, iHerb) and their networks — when you click a “Shop” link you are taken to their site; they may set their own cookies and process your data under their own policies, and may pay us a commission. See our Terms.

4. International transfers

Some providers (such as Google) are based in the United States, so your data may be transferred outside the UK/EEA. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

5. How long we keep it

Quiz answers stay on your device until you clear them (use “Start Over” on the results page or clear your browser storage). Email-list data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics settings (default up to 14 months).

6. Your rights

Subject to your local law (including the GDPR/UK GDPR and, for some users, US state laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can:

• Delete your on-device data via “Start Over” or by clearing your browser storage;
• Withdraw analytics consent any time via “Cookie settings” in the Cookie Policy;
• Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email; and
• Contact us at simplement.admin@gmail.com to exercise any right or to complain. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

7. Children

Simplement is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; we will change the “last updated” date above and, for significant changes, provide a clearer notice.
